A dramatic story about a devastated American officer who found a good cause to fight again in a far away country. We were commissioned to create several matte paintings for establishing shots of 19th century Tokyo. Our work started with intensive research and conceptual designs for each shot.  The matte paintings were particularly difficult to create because of the lack of sufficient photographic material.
